Dean Arnold Vetter was born June 21, 1937, in Burtrum, MN, to Adam and Laura (Shinabarger) Vetter.
When Dean was starting school, Adam decided to move his family to his home town, Bison, SD. After high school, he worked construction in Minnesota.
Doug married his high school sweetheart, Linda, on November 12, 1976, at Grace Lutheran Church. He loved teaching young wrestlers, and his inspiration led many to victory. Doug's last place of employment was at Owen's Interstate, where he worked until his death.
Doug also enjoyed playing softball and spent many summers at the ball fields. Doug lost his very courageous battle to cancer on July 5, 2018.
He was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.

Teddy Ann grew up and went to school in Sturgis and Lead-Deadwood area before she met and married Ronnie Varns on October 14, 1972.You could never find a greater sister bond than you could between Teddy Ann, Carrie, and Delores.Everyone that knew Teddy Ann knew how strong willed and stubborn she was.He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Laura Vetter; his wife of 38 years, Marlene Vetter; his second wife, Elmie Vetter; sister, Janet Smith; mother-in-law, Mabel Inghram; brothers-in-law, Robert Smith, Bunky Inghram, and Charles Ryder; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Vetter. on Friday, July 13, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis with Rev. Interment will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. A memorial has been established Childrens Hospital of Colorado (PICU/TRA Trauma Team) and Aydens Allstars (ICO Gary or Alicia Vetter).
